Everyone Is Designing For FREE!

This explains almost perfectly how I feel sometimes.

Client: "Can you design some t-shirts and posters for us?"
Me: "Sure! That sounds like fun. What are you thinking?"

Client: "Ya-da-Ya-da....etc"
Me: "Lets talk about money as hours worked."

Client: "Oh, I thought you were doing this for exposure. We did not plan on paying you (or we will pay you later....=NEVER) that is why we told you to put your name in the design and we would tell others about you"
Me: "FML. Can I take your music and give it away? I will make sure to tell all of my friends that you wrote it and that way you will become really famous."

Cleint: "That would be stealing!"
Me: "Point proved."
