Oh My Pretty...What A Creepy Stare You Have

As much as I love to draw you would think that I had learned how to paint in Photoshop....well nope. This is my first attempt to paint in about 4 years. I guess it is far past due and it has been fun so far. I decided to try the Photoshop bit to broaden my illustration style into something very different. No thick outlines and no solid shaddow....OUCH! This may be tough.

V1. Lookin a little sloppy and rustic.

V2. Shadows added.

V3. Start to Emerald City. I really need to make the scene less cliche.

V4. Wow these bricks take a little time to adjust.

The Most Wonderful Wiz-o-Oz

I'm going to go out on a limb for this next project. I have been wanting to illustrate/paint in Photoshop for quite some time. I spent a great some time looking at styles to do this piece in and have come across some great work. They want all of the Ozzies on the yellow brick road like below.

Paper Litho

Drawing for my Mono-type final series.

Alcohol is a Sexist!

About two weeks ago I received a project request to design 5 bulletin boards for the freshmen dorms. I have 2.5 more coming. The fifth one will be a collaboration with Colin.

Undescribable Amount of Awesome!

"The Music Scene" from Anthony Francisco Schepperd on Vimeo.

Stop at Buzzed or You Will Die

All of the designers at HD (Housing Design) needed to come up with a logo idea for the new 'Stop at Buzzed' campaign. We are still in the first stages of development so more revisions will be made by Colin who is designing everything for the campaign. I am very happy with how the logo turned out for only spending 40 minutes on it. The examples below are just ways that the logo could be used.

Awesome illustration I found online. Unfortunately I did not draw this one.

Obviously the characters in 'Hangover' did not follow the 'Stop at Buzzed' ideals.

Gotta Catch Em' All (+1)

Pokemon. The days of great game-play and trading cards. The days where you tried to weasel your neighbor into trading you his first edition card for your moderately rare card. Where have those days gone? Well they are back at Housing Design. This was out 2nd 2 hour quick-fire project. We all had a blast creating these creatures. While designing Pokemon we had a few fantastic discussions about the Gameboy games and it became a learning experience as well. Enjoy.

Ribort: Fire and Psychic type Pokemon.

Size Up Your Drink

This is the first line of characters for the 5 bulletin boards to go in the UW-Stout freshman dorms. The idea is to help freshman understand the strength of different alcohol types.. The new message is to press moderation and responsibility.

No Smoking! Well for Two Days.

I found this in the Price Commons bathroom. The first person changed it to 'UW-Stout to become tobacco-free September 1, 2012' and then another revision happened to create a two day smoking ban on September 1,2. Classy vandalism I suppose.

This summer at UW-Stout Housing Design we have 'quick fire' projects every so often. The first quick fire this summer was to develop a new logo for the Housing Design office but here is the catch...we only have 2 hours from concept to development and will be presenting them at our meeting on Monday. These are my two favorite concepts I came up with and need to decide.

The logos are based off of the idea that our new office is within the Housing office within a building complex.

A Nutsy Game Show

Japanese game show....need I say more? Viewing this video made my week. I came into work on Tuesday morning wet as a dog from the rain and tired...this made everything better.

I have finally got around to updating the work on my portfolio and fixing layout errors. The whole design is not changed totally but slight details, knicks and knacks. SollieDesign.com
