Everyone Is Designing For FREE!

This explains almost perfectly how I feel sometimes.

Client: "Can you design some t-shirts and posters for us?"
Me: "Sure! That sounds like fun. What are you thinking?"

Client: "Ya-da-Ya-da....etc"
Me: "Lets talk about money as hours worked."

Client: "Oh, I thought you were doing this for exposure. We did not plan on paying you (or we will pay you later....=NEVER) that is why we told you to put your name in the design and we would tell others about you"
Me: "FML. Can I take your music and give it away? I will make sure to tell all of my friends that you wrote it and that way you will become really famous."

Cleint: "That would be stealing!"
Me: "Point proved."

I Do Love My Watercolors

This is a spectacular and very dynamic animation. It has all been drawn by hand which gives it a real feel of freedom as well as the fantastic use of watercolor paired with great music. This just makes me happy inside.

I understand I have been posting a great deal of videos and not much work lately...I will hop on that. With 18 credits I have not really had too much time for anything but homework.

Lets Squish Our Fruits

ImprovEverywhere does it again! The last video I saw these guys do was the "Pants-less Bus-ride". My aunt actually worked on writing and preparing the Pro Bowl after-party and they brought these guys to come in and randomly break into song. Awesome, lets squish.

Lets Get Flexible



With the product technology we have today why do we not have flexible furniture? It would be fantastic for a dorm room where you decide to re-order/organize your room every other day. With flexible furniture we could work our couch around the room rather than the room around the over-sized green-pleather sofa (everyone knows their grandparents own one).

Rapist!

As I passed by on my way back from class an elderly lady (in Menomonie) said "as though all of these people are stumbling in the snow"(spoken with a raised voice and indirectly)....as she wrote 'rapist' in the white snow.

someone was offended and brushed it away (taken 2 hours after the incident).
I have been wondering all week how the two could correlate and discussed it with numerous people and am totally puzzled.

What the FUN(k)?

Here is my design for our funk band identity. The posters and cards were put all around campus to get the name out without a myspace or facebook. This is how we did it! A little bit of propaganda i guess.

Jazz Fusion

Dan (my roommate) and I got a talking tonight about working with some jazz fusion tunes and I felt inspired to say the least. We listened to some Umphrey's McGee and I almost lost it! How can a band be so 'technically' awesome!? Well I think I just might have found it. JAZZ FUSION. Dan and I our currently in a funk band and that has been fun to say the least and we are hoping to play and make some money hopefully in the near future but how great does this fusion business sound. Possibly with all the time I don't have on my hands we could work on some musical side projects. Jazz has always been my love and it has been too long since I have really picked up my saxophone and blew (other than the few funk band songs). I will keep everyone updated if anything comes of it.

Officially Disco Time

Lets have everyone (including the dog) get their dancing shoes on. This video is fantastic and infectious (in a good way). The animator showed all of the work that goes on behind the scenes. I can only imagine how much work this took. Do you have your shoes on? Lets disco!
