Stimulate Your Imagination and Nerve Endings

This has to be one of the greatest videos I have seen in the past year. Jesse and I were discussing doing a colab project this upcoming summer when he returns from Germany. I have been looking into some cool ideas such as a pop-up book, poster series, murals, etc. After watching this video I feel inspired to create something sort of like this...but better (well we can wish can't we). Just take a peek at the video, it is well worth your time. It reminds me of the Google Chrome video which was also fantastic.

Enjoy.

Decapitated In A Good Way

My mother asked me to take pictures of all the kids (5 of us) for the walls. The others were getting to be old and wanted fresh pictures for the walls so I did just that. I spent all afternoon Photo-shopping them. Of course I forgot my Waicom tablet at school so I resorted to doing cutouts with a track-pad...nice. I decided to mess around with my picture a little further and have some fun and here is what you get. (I apologize for some of the sloppy cut-outs...as I mentioned earlier I used my laptop track-pad)

I may actually try to do a series of these for my photography class...a possibility I guess.

What's In Your Cup?

I received a set of 4 coasters for Christmas from our 'White Elephant' gift exchange. These are what I ended up with. I am not really going to complain at all. When all the exchanges were over I was really happy with my luck (guess it helps that I hid them so no one could steal). My roommate Aaron decided to put some of my sketches in the coasters that he received (same as mine, guess they are a hat item this year, haha) so I went a different rout than the usual.

The letters are out of my sister's scrap book collection.

Is She Real? (Well No)

Most of my illustrations seem to be on the more cartoon side of the street. This one turned out to have a more realistic and less geometric approach than the usual. I am also working on incorporating much more in (black) into my drawings as well to make them less airy.

Up and Atom (Drawin' Again)

As I have had time on my hands I thought it would be a good idea to draw everyday this break. This piece is much larger than my normal 8x10 (around 16x20). It was nice to work on a larger scale and mess with line width much more. I always try to draw large and it ends up not being that way....well ain't it nice to finally succeed! I am thinking of creating a series of drawing and color all of them as well.

Brilliant Horizon: Poster

My bud asked me to create a poster for his bands upcoming show. I wanted to finish it within the day so that everything could be sent off to print tomorrow. Brilliant Horizon is releasing a demo of tracks throughout their years as a band. Anyone who purchases a beverage can grab their demo for free. That is where I got the whole drink pouring into the music...as well as the coffeehouse feel they have.
(All of the bands playing are acoustic projects)

OWNED! Do Your Dishes Folks

Sometimes around the house I have to push my housemates to do the dishes. One weekend after I came back from home I found too many dishes for my liking. This is what followed.

They are usually never close to this bad but since I had my chance I needed to prove a point and add a little humor as well. (I tagged all of my housemates in the picture)

Enjoy.

OMGoogley-eyes!

At it once again! Day 2 of our art projects. I wanted to use my new camera to take a few pics and this is what came out of it. The pictures of the pictures are not the greatest quality because I used my phone. LOL
